British Trial Drivers update 11

Prior to each of the annual Reliability Trials (1905- 1909) conducted by the Scottish Automobile Club

details of all the competing cars were published by the Club. This information included details of the cars’ registration numbers. Without any supporting photographic evidence there is not, however, any proof that these particular cars did actually compete in the various events. Furthermore, some of the registration numbers are ‘Trade Plates’ but even these can prove useful when studying photographs of cars competing in the events. The registration numbers recorded below do not include every one of the cars – only those with numbers which are not already recorded in “British Trial Drivers” or others which were found to be incorrect.
